PROBLEM: Avid reader Elizabeth loved her newly-acquired long, Victorian sofa. But when she placed the family heirloom against the wall, it left no room for floor or table lamps. What’s a bookworm with insufficient lighting to do?
OUR SOLUTION: We recommended swing-arm wall sconces. Now, with adequate illumination, Elizabeth can curl up with Meditations by Marcus Aurelius and ponder: “Does the sun think to do the rain’s work?”
PROBLEM: After spying bold wall-paint color in a popular magazine, David, a CPA, ran to the store, bought two gallons, and then gave his home office a fresh coat of paint. The next day, unable to work with the combatant color dressing his walls, David took his laptop to the library.
OUR SOLUTION: We selected a similar, but serene, hue for David’s work space. Now, David is more productive and enjoys his home office, again.
PROBLEM: The Pearce leather chaise sectional arrived around noon. Bridgette couldn’t wait to create an intimate conversation area in her home. The delivery men placed the sectional and left. Bridgette burst into tears. Her new sectional with soft matte upholstery and generous rolled arms was now blocking one of the two doorways.
OUR SOLUTION: Close off the hallway entrance to produce the corner space needed for the sectional, thus allowing Bridgette to create her intimate conversation area.
PROBLEM: Tim and Wendy needed a new area rug. Once-a-week visits to their local carpet store to inspect new arrivals proved futile. Tim suggested they buy something – anything. After trying, and returning, three 8' x 10’ area rugs, Tim was calling the chiropractor and Wendy called us.
OUR SOLUTION: We did the research for Tim and Wendy. We then recommended a rug suitable for their living room that was welcomed to stay permanently!
PROBLEM: The Drummond home had undergone a period of renovation, With a party scheduled on the weekend, the Family Room needed a freshly-decorated look. How could the Drummonds spruce up the cozy Family Room without having to purchase new accessories?
OUR SOLUTION: Rearrange and place existing furniture, accessories, books, and artwork throughout the room creating a freshly-decorated look for a successful party!
PROBLEM: The design specialist at the big store was all too happy to follow Linda's lead. First, Linda said she wanted new, dark green cabinets to compliment her stained oak kitchen cabinets. Second, she showed the design specialist her line drawing. The design specialist thought the drawing looked just like what Linda wanted. So when the design specialist was all too eager to sign off on the dark green cabinets, Linda decided to go with her gut.
SOLUTION: Instead of placing the order for green cabinets, Linda called us for a second design opinion. We reviewed the design, specifications and quote Linda had received from the big store. Now, Linda silently thanks us every day when she enters her kitchen and admires her new butter cream cabinetry.
